After 40 years at KRP LLP, long-time partner Hartley Cohen is announcing his retirement.

Hartley’s career as an assurance partner at our firm began in 1985. He quickly distinguished himself by delivering high-touch service to his client base of entrepreneurs, owner-managers, family-owned businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Those clients spanned a wide swath of industries, allowing him to bring his diverse experience to the fore in areas such as accounting, audit, financial management, business valuation, along with estate, corporate and personal tax planning.

“Hartley has been a key member of our leadership team for decades, helping to steward our growth and serving as a mentor and friend to our entire team,” said KRP LLP Co-Managing Partner Armando Iannuzzi.

In addition to his partnership duties, Hartley was a thought leader in the accounting community and to various industry groups and professional associations. He published articles and delivered informative presentations on everything from succession planning and taxation to financial reporting and mergers and acquisitions.

Long after graduating, Hartley pursued his CFP and US CPA designations to enhance his knowledge base and to better serve his clients.

“As I enter retirement, what I’ll miss most are the people that I’ve had the privilege to meet over the past 40 years,” Hartley explained. “From the clients that I’ve had the opportunity to serve, many of whom have become good friends, to our wonderful team members, it’s the relationships that stand out as I look back and take pride in all that we’ve managed to achieve together.”

A passionate supporter of several charitable organizations, Hartley plans to spend more time with his family, perfecting his golf swing and continuing his volunteer work with charities.

“On behalf of our entire team, I’d like to offer my heartfelt thanks to Hartley for providing his hard work, dedication and astute insights to our firm over the years,” said KRP LLP Co-Managing Partner George Grignano.
