Joe Romeo

Joe joined KRP in 2014 after working at a mid-size public accounting firm for several years. He specializes in managing audit, review and compilation engagements, while delivering accounting and tax planning advice to owner-managed business clients. He works with clients in several industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing and entertainment/broadcasting.

In addition to his practical expertise, Joe mentors our co-op students as they work through the process of obtaining their CPA certification. He’s a graduate of York University and became a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2014.

When Joe describes the more notable aspects of our firm’s culture, he points to the collaborative approach we use to manage client files. “We always work together as a team rather than doing work independently,” he explains. “We have a very welcoming policy with managers and partners, so staff can get feedback on their work, which helps them deliver a personalized accounting experience that better serves and builds trust with our clients.”

When he’s away from the office, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children—often travelling to destinations such as Florida, where he always makes time for a kid-friendly stop at Disney World. Joe is also an avid hockey fan and plays regularly.
